As Jesus begins his public ministry, he sets out to call certain people to follow him as disciples. In Mark 1:16-20, we see the calling of Andrew and Simon, James and John. These encounters present us with certain discipleship principles that are vital for us to keep in mind as we seek to follow Jesus in our own lives.
