In part 5 of our series in Mark, we learn about the baptism of Jesus, which served several purposes for the person and ministry of Jesus Christ. It served as an identification of the triune Godhead, a declaration of the Father's approval of the Son, as Jesus' association with sinful humanity, and as a fulfillment of all righteousness that so Jesus could be a perfect substitute for mankind and a propitiation for sin.
