KFC exists to lay the foundation in teaching children in grades K-6 who Jesus is and how to build a relationship with him. We recognize the Bible as the primary source of everything we need to know about Jesus and the Christian faith. And no matter a child's background, we welcome him or her to a new life in Christ!
So here is a little about me. I am a mom of 3 wonderful kids and have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1996. I enjoy spending time outside, either camping or at the beach, or hiking along trails. I love spending time with my family and my friends, whether it be outside at the lake, having bbq’s, attending Christian concerts or just going to the movies. I have been running a large in-home daycare since 2005. I found my joy in having my own daycare when my kids were small and I wanted to stay home with them, but yet also work. I love working with children of all ages and enjoy watching them learn & grow in each stage of their lives.
As a child, I didn’t grow up in a Christian household, but was occasionally dressed up for Christmas or Easter services. I somewhat knew about Jesus, but never fully understood what Christianity was all about. Eventually through a childhood friend, at age 11, I finally really found Jesus. I remember the day I accepted him into my life at summer vacation bible school - what a very powerful feeling that was for me. I also remember the day I got baptized at a church I had been attending with my childhood friend. That friend, whom I am still friends with today, laid a huge foundation and made a big impact in my life that I will never forget. I want to make that kind of an impact for all children of any age who venture through Kids for Christ. I strive to teach them to the best of my ability, to guide them, and to pray for them in their times of struggles. And most importantly, to help plant the seed to a life with Christ.
